Gregory F. Boggs

Greg Boggs, 67, passed away at home on April 28, 2019. He was born in Des Moines on February 5, 1952, to Fred and Louise Boggs.

Greg graduated from North High School and worked for AMF Western Tool for 15 years. In 1988, he began working for Thomas Bus Sales where he worked until his retirement in 2017.

Greg enjoyed playing bass guitar, fishing, Cubs baseball, and Iowa Hawkeye sports.

Greg is survived by his loving wife, Janet; sons, Gregory Richard Boggs and Jason Allan Boggs; stepchildren, James (Jill) Stanley, Bryan (Merrily) Stanley, and Jody (Mark) Caswell; grandchildren, Megan, Logan, Morgan, Claire, Kelsey, Payton, Parker, Aubrey, Wyatt, and Jake; brother, Russell (Rita) Short; sister, Janette Potter; sister-in-law, Terry Boggs; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Bill.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2019, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday evening from 5-8 p.m.
