Jeffery Joseph Halvorsen

Jeffery Joseph Halvorsen, 59, passed away April 22, 2019 at Mercy One Medical Center. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Jeffery was born March 6, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois. He was a warehouse specialist for the Des Moines Public Schools. Jeffery loved sports and coaching his daughter’s softball and basketball teams. He was an avid Chicago sports fan.

Jeffery is survived by his daughter, Erin (husband, Josh) Halvorsen; long-time companion, Cheryl Cross; Mother and Father; Gene and Marie Halvorsen; Siblings; Jeanmarie, Audrey, Steven; Step children; Maggie, Ben, Abbie, Avery, Emma and Charlie; Step grandchildren; Lexi, Kenneth and Olyvia; and all his grand-dogs!

His sister, Angela Halvorsen-Ambrosino, preceded him in death.
