Emily Sue Peckham-May, 31, passed away April 21, 2019 at Mercy Medical Center.
Emily was born March 14, 1988 to Rick and Sherri (Tiedeman) Peckham. She graduated from Lincoln High in 2006. Emily was a very quick-witted woman. She was a member of the Unbreakable Bullies, a dog foster care group. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and was a great lover of animals, especially dogs.
Emily is survived by her parents, Rick and Sherry; sister, Kayla; fiancé, John May, Jr.; daughter, Sophia May; and a host of extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
The family will greet friends from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. There will be a time of sharing at 6:00 pm.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Emily.

You will be miss. Thank you for loving my son unconditionally and my granddaughter Sophia. I wish I could know you better. You left to soon. Watch over them and your family.

I'm very sorry about the loss of your loved one, death is a hurtful thing to the ones we love and cherish & something that we don't want to deal with. I want to share with you encouraging words from the Bible on what Jehovah God promises that sickness and death will be done away with. Such as these Scriptures: " No resident will say I am sick" (Isaiah 33:24), "He will wipe out the tears from our eyes & death will be no more " (Revelation 21: 3 , 4 ) and I am the resurrection and the life " (John 11:25, 26). May Jehovah comfort you during this difficult time.
