Janette R. Cox

Janette R. Cox, 90, passed away on April 24, 2019, at Parkridge Specialty Care in Pleasant Hill, Iowa. She was born on May 12, 1928, in Twin Falls, Idaho, to Carl and Mary Swenson.

Janette loved her job at JC Penney Department Store, retiring two times.

Janette is survived by her children, Alan Cox (Carol), Jeff Cox (Jo) and Jan Hougham (Mark); 6 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Esther Madison of Arizona and Beatrice Asche of California. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Cox; children, Gary Cox and Ruth Cox; siblings, Glen Talsma, Lewis Talsma, John Swenson, Harry Hullamon, Don Williams, Lynn Williams, Gladis Swenson, Bernice Beard, Juanita Coryell, Deloris Weiderin and Betty Michaelson.

Visitation will be 12:30-2:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave, Des Moines. Private family burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
