David R. Neely

David Richard Neely, 43, passed away peacefully at his home Thursday, January 22, 2009 surrounded by his family.
David was born June 19, 1965 in Des Moines to Kenneth and Caroline (Marks) Neely. He graduated from Ruby Van Meter School and afterward participated in a day program at Link Associates. He loved family gatherings and watching his favorite movies and TV Land.
David is survived by his loving mother, Caroline Neely; sisters, Shelley (John) Bockert, Debbie (Bill) Smith, Teresa McGuire, Jolene Neely and Jennifer (Jerry) Saathoff; sister-in-law, Sharon Neely, all of Des Moines; eleven nieces and nephews and ten great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth; brother, Michael; and a niece.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, January 26, 2009 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. with a prayer service at 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
