Ronald K. Yenzer, 83, of Des Moines passed away on January 20, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. He will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home. The family will greet friends at the funeral home following the service. Ronald was retired as owner and operator of Dental Arts Inc. which he had operated for 45 years. He was an Army veteran of WWII and had received the purple heart. He was a member of the 1st Ranger battalion, the Shriner’s and the D.A.V. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, working in the yard and gardening. He was an avid reader and enjoyed computers and studying new technology. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Sally, his daughter Judy (Jim) Monk of Indianola, his grandsons Kenneth (September) Monk of Queen Creek, Arizona and Bradley Monk of Indianola, his sister Maxine Sheffers of California and brother Stanley Yenzer of Des Moines. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Margaret Yenzer and three brothers. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Crippled Children.
