Geraldine Ridnour

Geraldine B. Ridnour, 80, died Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be 10am Friday, January 23rd at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home with burial following at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 5-7pm Thursday at the funeral home
Jeri was born October 2, 1928 in Bloomfield to Alva and Esther Stookesberry. She was a homemaker and enjoyed flowers and working in her vegetable garden and especially enjoyed spending time with her family whom she loved dearly. Jeri was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Red Hats Society and Fort Des Moines United Methodist Church.
Jeri is survived by her sons Rick (Amy) Ridnour, Mark (Teri) Ridnour; daughter-in-law Kay (Mike) Strum; sister Marilyn Long; brothers James (Juanita) Stookesberry, Gary (Theda) Stookesberry; grandchildren Brad, Rob, Steve Jr., Jeremy Ridnour, Erica Davis, Amber Williams and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack and son Steve.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ft. Des Moines United Methodist Church in her loving memory.
