Service Details
Selma Rae Shawver, 89, went Home to meet her Savior face to face on Sunday, January 11, 2009. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at Grandview Park Baptist Church, 1701 E. 33rd St. with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St.
Selma was born March 28, 1919. She was the last surviving charter member of Grandview Park Baptist Church.
Selma is survived by her daughters, Jude’ (Dick) Higday, Jean and Jan Shawver; grandchildren, Lisa Higday, Richard (Silvia) Higday, Perry (Channon) Shawver and Terry “Mike” Shawver; and great-grandchildren, Maddison and Mason. She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence; sons, Scott and Stephen; and brother, Charles Thompson.
Memorial contributions may be made to Grandview Park Baptist Church.
