Earl Craig

Earl W. Craig, 62, died Monday, January 8, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center due to an industrial accident at work. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 13, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Earl was born June 18, 1944 in Albany, Missouri. He came to Des Moines in his early youth and then graduated from Saydel High School. Earl was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp (1962-1966). He married Jacqueline Wertz on September 1, 1963. Earl was a truck driver with Jacobson Logistics. He was a member of the American Legion and the N.R.A. Earl enjoyed cribbage, antiquing, genealogy and flea markets.
Earl is survived by his wife of 43 years, Jacqueline; son, Earl W. “Chip” Craig, II and wife, Ruth; three grandchildren, Courtney, Cameron and Chloe; brother, Charles Carlyle Craig; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
