Charles "Mike" Ginsberg

Charles Michael Ginsberg, 54, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2008, at home.
Charles was born March 30, 1954, to Stephen and Dorothy Ginsberg.
Charles, known as Michael to family and friends, lived and worked most of his life in and around Maryland. During his life, he was a butcher, meat manager, voluntary policeman, taxicab driver, taxi dispatcher, and a customer service rep for a towing company. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, cooking, listening to oldies and classic rock music. He loved spending time with family and friends, especially his daughter.
Michael moved to Iowa in February 1997. He worked for Ruan Transportation for 7 years as a customer service rep for tractor/trailer breakdowns. He had been retired for the past 4 years.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his fiancee, Rhonda Allen; his daughter, Candice Ginsberg, her fiance, Scott Long, Jr and his grandson, Scott Long III; by a brother, Douglas White and two sisters; Cathy (Rob) Donn and Pamela Ginsberg. Two nieces and a nephew. He is also survived by several cousins, aunts and uncles, Rhonda's family and many friends. Michael will be greatly missed by everyone.
A memorial service is being held on Sunday, January 11, 2009, in Minburn at the elementary school gymnasium at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family.
