Walter "Doc" Osborne, Jr.

Walter Osborne, Jr., 71, passed away at his home on Friday, April 5, 2019.
Doc was born December 2, 1947 in Des Moines, Iowa to Walter Sr. and Lila (Hines) Osborne. He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Doc worked as a truck driver for most of his life. He enjoyed old western movies, especially John Wayne movies, and reading western fiction books. He liked working crossword puzzles and word search puzzles.
He is survived by his son, Dustin Osborne; sister, Lora (Osborne) Gibbons; brother, Sammy Osborne, Sr.; and many nieces and nephews.
Doc was preceded in death by his father, Walter Osborne, Sr.; mother, Lila Osborne; brothers, Jerald Osborne, Sr. and Norman Osborne, Sr.; sisters, Joyce March, Florence MacManus, and Anita Clark.
Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m., followed by funeral services at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Sunshine Open Bible Tabernacle, 2130 Easton Blvd, Des Moines. Military honors will be performed at the end of the ceremony. Cremation will follow services.

I met Walt years ago, at one time we were very close. I gave him his first son, Kemp, and despite the fact we parted ways he owned up, paid support and kept in touch. Sorry to hear of his passing

Sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in the Bible at Revelation 21:4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.
