Service Details
Robert Hofer, age 72, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2019. He was born the son of Leonard and Margaret Hofer on June 12, 1946 in Montour, Iowa. Robert worked all of his life for the City of Des Moines. He was an avid Hawkeyes fan and loved fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Margie Ferguson and Tina Hofer (LeRoy McFadden); grandsons, James Ferguson and Luke McFadden; great-grandsons, Isaiah and Lloyd McFadden; and his siblings, Janet Sheets, Jessie Mefford and Jenny Burgett.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Larry Hofer, Darlene Routier and Gladys Schrage.
Family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Burial will be held at a later date at Maple Hill Cemetery in Montour, Iowa.

Bob kept me in line when my mom couldn't . Bob and his wife ( at the time ) took care of me and took me into their home , and treated me like one of their own ! His daughter Tina and I are close friends . I've known Bob for nearly 45 years . Take your rest !
