Donna May Filardo, age 87, passed away on March 28, 2019 at Union Park Health Services. She was born to John and Dottie Penenger on February 27, 1932 in Des Moines, Iowa.
Donna graduated from East High School. She was a devout member of Bethany Baptist Church.
She is lovingly survived by her brothers, Donald and Mary J. Penenger and Milton and Nora Penenger; sister, Etha Whitten; two nieces, three nephews; and seven cousins.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, John Filardo.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with funeral service to begin at 12:00 p.m., Monday, April 1, 2019 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines. Interment will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Donna will be missed. She was so active and loved to be involved in what was happening here at Union Park. She was such a wonderful lady. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
