Verne E. Hansen

Verne Eugene Hansen, 83, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at his home in Trenton, Missouri.

Verne was born September 29, 1935 in Princeton, Illinois. He served in the U. S. Army and worked in construction for many years, then as a mechanic. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, Pabst Blue Ribbon beer, and gardening.

Verne is survived by his step-son, Wayne Bode and step-daughters, Linda A. Postel, Connie L. King and Sonja Thibodeau. He is also survived by numerous beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeana Hansen and his step-daughter, Brenda Koenig.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by funeral service at 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 1, 2019 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Burial will take place at Elk Cemetery in Alta, Iowa.
