Alma Mathias

Alma Mathias, 87, died Monday, January 5, 2009 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. She was born June 16, 1921 to Constant and Martha Lamont in Watsonville, California.
Alma is survived by her daughters, Rosalind (Homer) Reed and Emily Garlock-Dickenson; her son, Russell “Butch” Mathias; six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and a sister, Connie Bradshaw. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Mathias, a son, Lamont Mathias; a sister, Frances Burgar; and son-in-law, William “Bill” Dickenson.
A Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at the First Congregational Church in Rock Falls, Ill. Private burial of the cremated remains will take place at the Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions maybe made to Tri County Opportunities for the Foster Grandparent Program.
