Service Details
Dan Michael Goulden, 54, died Sunday January 4, 2009 at his home. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2009 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Dan was born November 24, 1954 to Leo and Delores Goulden in Des Moines. He was a lifelong Des Moines resident and was employed by the Outer Limits Lounge. Dan enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, shooting pool and spending time with his wolf, Lobo.
Dan is survived by his daughter, Kayleena Goulden; mother, Delores Goulden; brother, Rick (RoseAnn) Goulden; sister, Linda (Jim) Milligan; his roommate and good friend, Jacob Popiano; nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Leo Goulden.

Dear Rick and Roseann:
I was so sorry to hear of the passing of your brother. I just wanted to drop you a quick line and to let you know that you and all of your family have been in my thoughts as you grieve and proceed through this difficult time. I just don't know what to say. Dan was always just wonderful to me when we played pool and anyplace else I saw him. He was so outgoing and interested in everything I had to say. I will miss him greatly as I know many, many others will as well. My condolences to all of you, but especially Rick, who Danny admired greatly. We had many great conversations about you, Rick, and Danny indeed was a loving brother. Again, my deepest sympathies.
