Carol Young

Carol Young, 64, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2009 at Lucas County Health Center in Chariton, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 5, 2009 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Carol was born November 28, 1944 in Centerville, Iowa to Laurel and Pansy Smith. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Carol is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Harold; daughter, Sally (Dennis) Sorensen; son, Richard (Stephanie) Young; and her grandchildren, Joshua, Robert and Jennifer Young, Nick and Teena Hartkopp, Katie (Dustin) Weber, Stephanie, Jodi and Justin Sorensen and Chelsea, Brooke and Austin Young. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sherry Young; sister, Phyllis Patterson; and her parents.
