Bernice Longerbone

Bernice A. Longerbone, 92, died Tuesday December 30, 2008 at Regency Care Center in Norwalk. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday January 3, 2009 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Bernice was born November 24, 1916 in Des Moines. She worked at the Ordinance Plant during WWII and volunteered at the Red Cross and many other groups Bernice was a member of the Rebekahs, IOOF.
Bernice is survived by her children, Gail (Harold) Durscher, Ruth Oswalt, and Jim M. Longerbone; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great- great grandchildren; brother, Kenneth (Zila) Wagner; and a host of nieces; nephews; other relatives; and beloved friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Longerbone; children, Clarence Alvie Longerbone and Nancy Ballard; grandson, Leroy Ballard; and several brothers and sisters.
