Frances Anton, 86, died Saturday, December 27, 2008 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. The family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St.
Frances was born October 8, 1922 in Oskaloosa, Iowa to John and Violet Monroe. She loved cooking, traveling, shopping and dancing.
Frances is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Angus) Griffith; son, John (Janice) Angus; sister, Annabelle Newell; the father of her children, Arthur Angus; five grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Arthur Lee Angus; brothers, James and Arthur Monroe.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and the Alzheimer’s Association.
