Service Details
Steve Lewis, 56, passed away on December 23, 2008. He was born in Des Moines on October 29, 1952 and attended East High School and Fort Dodge Central Community College. He became the owner of Dwight Lewis Body Shop in Des Moines.
Steve is survived by his daughters, Dawn Lewis of Grimes; Laura (Steve) Kirstein of Des Moines; his mother, Theo Lewis; his sister, Sue Lewis both of Golden Valley, MN. He is preceded in death by his father, Dwight.
Memorial Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, December 29, 2008, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, with burial to follow at Resthaven Cemetery. A visitation with family present will be from 3-5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

....Just found this article on the Computer. Really nice. I
printed out the news article. Remember the dinner we had together
(I think it was before Skeet's funeral the next day) anyhow, I
do remember we had such a nice chat while we were at the end of
the long table of Lewis'. Now I can look back and smile that
I did have that opportunity.......
NO ONE can imagine the heartbreak of losing one's child and I
cry for you,,,,with you,,,,and pray for you....and know that I,

Mrs Lewis and Sue--Very sorry to hear about Steve. I had not seen him in several years since I moved from Iowa, but he was one of my friends since we were kids. Our prays go out to you and his family. We had just gotten back from Des Moines yesterday. Again I have very fond memories of Steve. Hopes and prayers to you family for the future. Saying farwell to my best friend.
