Becky Johns

Rebecca Denene Johns, age 51, died Sunday, March 10, 2019. Becky was born October 22, 1967 in Hood River, Oregon. She had a career in the food service industry in Texas and Iowa. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending time camping and fishing. Becky was a good cook and baker. She also enjoyed puzzles. In her younger years, Becky played softball and kickball and was a bowler. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns fan. Above all else, she treasured time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, and her friends.

Becky is survived by her wife Holly Harper-Johns, daughter Ashley (Justin) Baccam, son Alex (Megan) Harper, grandchildren Leo, Lawson and Layland Baccam and one on the way, sisters Angel Johns and Kay Johns, and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother Barbara Johns and her mother in law Glennagean Judge.

A celebration of life will be held Monday, March 18, 2019 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines at 2:30 p.m. After the service, please join the family for a reception to be held at Lyn Crossing Community Room, 2000 Meadow Chase Lane, Des Moines.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made directly to the family.
