Jacklyn A. Channon

Jacklyn Ann Channon, age 66, died Friday, March 8, 2019 at Altoona Nursing and Rehab in Altoona, Iowa. She was born November 4, 1952 in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Richard Sr. and Marilyn (Gordon) Channon.

Jacklyn was a people person. She had the ability to make others feel good about themselves. She had a very big heart and always did her best to make the most of every situation. Jacklyn will be remembered as always laughing and she was a huge AC/DC fan.

She is survived by her son, Russell Channon Sr. and his wife Michelle; son, David Lee; grandchildren, Kensie, RJ, and Dean; sister, Janet; brother, Richard Jr.; nieces, Joleen and Emily; nephew, Joseph; and other loving family and friends.

Jacklyn was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Randy and sister, Julie.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, March 17, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at the American Legion Hall at East 42nd and Easton.
