James Edward “Dukem” Bradley, 61, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019.

James loved to fish and play his bass guitar. He was a member at Evangelistic Missionary Church of God in Christ where he played in the church band. I first saw and met Mr. Bradley when he played and sang as a member of the Family Gospel Singers. They touched many hearts and lives with their performances. Then I got to really know him as we both were treated in Kidney Dialysis sessions. I got to know him very well and his faith in the Lord and his love was always apparent to everyone. His love of fishing and his love for his family was also talked about quite often. Although he suffered a great deal many times through the years, you would never know it by his kindness, encouraging words, strength to endure and strong faith. He always smiled even though I knew he wasn't feeling well. Mr. Bradley is just one of those extraordinarily unique people who touched many lives. His passing shocked many of us, and it will take some time to let it all sink in, but like he used to say to me, "God has a plan, and we don't know what those plans are. But if you trust in him and obey, you know whatever it is, you're going to be alright! Whenever I said "God is good in the dialysis unit, he would always say. "All The Time". Mr. Bradley is now free from the pain and the constant repetition of dialysis treatments, medical exams and medicines. The love of the Heavenly Father and his Son Jesus Christ frees him of all the things that had him in pain. He is now free! Hallelujah! I say Free!
Thank God almighty he is free! Mr. Bradley can now spread his love and care in a way that will reach much more souls as only angels can. I will miss him, but I know he's doing what he always wanted to do! Rest in peace my Brother. Rest in peace!
