Kirk Rees, 48, died Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at his home. Kirk was born on June 29, 1960 to Ronald and Helen Rees in Des Moines, Iowa.
Kirk had a very contagious laugh that will be missed by all. He enjoyed Tae Kwan Do, working on cars, being a locksmith and loved the outdoors.
Kirk is survived by his father, Ron Rees, his sister, Debra (Michael) Robinson, brother, Craig (Michelle) Rees, nieces, Krysta Rees, Kim (Dustin) Wipf and Cherie (Kevin) Huffman, his aunts, Karen (Pete) DePhillips, Marie (Larry) Crook and Sharon DeSoto, his cousin, Shellie DePhillips and a host of other family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Rees and his grandparents.
Memorial Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 29, 2008 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines, Iowa. Kirk was cremated and inurnment will follow services at the Masonic Cemetery in Des Moines. The family will greet friends for one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Monday.

I want to express my deepest sympathy to Kirk's family. I haven't seen Kirk since our teenage years but Kirk was a great friend to me during those times. He helped me out many times and was always there when I needed a friend. He was the type of guy who would of give you the shirt of his back. I've never forgot Kirk and have missed his friendship in my life.
