DeAnn E. Williams
February 17, 2019
DeAnn Elaine Williams, 49, entered Heaven’s gate on Sunday, February 17, 2019. She was born December 29, 1969 in Des Moines, Iowa. She attended Dexfield High School in Redfield, Iowa and went on to graduate from Hoover High School in Des Moines in 1988. She earned her Cosmetology License from Iowa School of Beauty. She worked in salons for many years before establishing a salon in her home.
DeAnn loved her family above all else. She enjoyed traveling and was a great cook. DeAnn had a great heart and was very loving and outgoing, but could also be a little ornery. She was always laughing and those who knew her best gave her the nickname “Bird.”
She is survived by her daughter, Alysha; son, Jordan; grandchildren, Mariah, Jaeliah, Aiyanna, Khilynn, Landon and Kamila; father, Ed (Billie) LeClair; sisters, Jane (Kevin) Findley, Stephanie (Danial) LeClair-Johnson, Kelley Kuhns and Kathy Kuhns; step-father, Keith DeNeui; nieces and nephews, Joe Joe, Lacretia, Kyle, Nathan, Ryan, Dara, Allison, Jacob, Willie and Jesse; and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
DeAnn was preceded in death by her mother, Donna Polson; brothers, Joe LeClair and Bill Kuhns; and sister, Kim Kuhns.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2019, also at Hamilton’s, followed by burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of DeAnn.

R.I.P., Bird. She was a very kind, compassionate, and loving mother to her children and grandchildren, and loved her uncles to the moon and back! Such a sad loss.

I was so sad hearing the news about DeAnn . I have not seen her for many years and had forgotten she was called 'Bird'...brings a smile to my face thinking of her as a young girl and the fun young woman she became. My heart goes out to Jane and Stephanie, losing so much in such a short time. May all the good memories comfort you.

To My Birdie:
I love you with all my heart and always will. I will miss our late night talks.
To the Polson family: my heart breaks that you lost this very special person.
To the Polson Uncles who think you shouldnt mourn and drinking is FUN( it isnt). She tried to have fun just like you, she wanted to be so much like her uncles so they would love her, she cherished everyone of you, take this lesson with you and I pray you learn something.
The heart knows the way of the Lord but the body is weak.
To her children: you were everything to her, her heart and her soul.
To her sisters: my prayers, hugs, and tons of love.
I love you MY BIRDIE!
