Service Details
Wallace Owen Glover, Sr, passed away at home Saturday, December 13, 2008. Funeral services will be held 2:30pm on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, with burial at Altoona Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8pm Tuesday at the Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.
Wallace was born July 8, 1939 in New Cumberland, West Virginia. He was married to Marjory L. Zeigler on July 8, 1957. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He provided for his family as a self employed contractor. He was also proud of his time served in the US AirForce.
He is survived by his daughters; Connie (Charles) Mikesell, Cheryl (Robert) Swain, Lou Ann (Darold) DeVries, Donna (Rod) Dowler, and son; Wallace Glover, Jr., grandchildren; Matthew, Marcus, Samantha, Tyler, Robert, Dustin, Marjie, Madison, Cory, Clayton, Elise, Rachel; step-granchildren, Blake and Tyler; great-grandchild, MiKayla; brothers Howard, Earl and, Raymond Glover, Carl Anderson; sisters, Nora Tomes and Caroline Krajcovic.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife Marjory, father and mother Howard and Mabel Glover, brothers, Lloyd and David Glover, sisters, Sara Anderson, Erma Davidson and Edna Serra.

I am very sorry for your loss. As you know I knew your family for a long time.I lost contact for a while which was bad on my part. I want you to know that I enjoyed the family very much and had a lot of fun with your Mom and Dad. All of the time we spent with your folks was a kill. They were always happy and fun to be around. The special times that I know they had raising the five of you will stay with you forever. I remember bowling with Wally and going out to eat every Tuesday night with the whole team afterwards.
I always remember how proud of the accomplishments that each of you had growing up. Your folks always bragged about each of you. To Louann, and family....
My deepest sympathies. I have many memories of your DAd-each and everyone one of them includes all of you. Owen LOVED his family, grandchildren, friends. He is a very loving and caring man-and he will be missed. Please hold on to the memories-share the great stories with one another. Please know I am thinking of you all.
