Dorothy Clarke

Dorothy Clarke, 85, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2008 at Senior Suites in Urbandale. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, December 14, 2008 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Mitchellville Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Dorothy was born May 21, 1923 in Ogden, IA and was raised in Ogden, IA. She was united in marriage to Delmar Benton. Dorothy worked as an administrative assistant with the Legislative Service Bureau for the State of Iowa. She and her second husband, Hugh Clarke enjoyed traveling with the Friendship Force.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Linda (Gary) Wellman; grandchildren; Stacy (Steve) Stroud and Eric (Joyce) Harper; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Megan and Ryan Stroud and Alexandra and Murphy Harper; and brothers, Howard Dillman and David (JoEtta) Dillman. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Delmar Benton and second husband, Hugh Clarke.
