Jerald "Jake" Dyer, Sr.

Jerald “Jake” Lee Dyer, Sr., 75, died Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born on February 5, 1933 to Hiram and Viola Dyer in Des Moines.
Jerald served in the United States Army until his honorable discharge.
He enjoyed fishing, grandchildren, spending winters in Donna, Texas, junking and auctions, and he never knew a stranger.
Jerald is survived by his loving wife Hazel of 54 years, his daughters, Ellie (Steve) Rutledge, Patty (Steve) Burrows, Sally (Richard) Woodard, Kim White; his son Jerry (Cindy) Dyer, Jr.; 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; his sister, Betty Hellesters. He was preceded in death by his parents, several brothers and sisters and a grandson, Jimmy Dyer.
A visitation with family present will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, December 13, 2008 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue.
