Ruby Claussen

Ruby B. Claussen, 88, of Des Moines, died Friday, January 5 at Ramsey Village. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Hamilton's Funeral near Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held Monday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ruby was born in Springfield, Missouri, daughter of Mary and Roy Gott, August 9, 1918. She lived in Perry, Iowa before moving to Des Moines where she graduated from East High School. She worked as a secretary for Banker's Life and IPERS.
She was a long time member of Capitol Hill Christian Church where she was active in Christian Women's Fellowship, sewing Club and served as a Deaconess. She was also a member of Fairs and Squares square-dancing club.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband, Jack; sisters Opal and Jewel; brothers, Norman and Herman.
Surviving is a son, David (RaeAnn) Claussen of West Des Moines and daughter, Janice (Craig) Wagner of Des Moines; a sister, Pearl of Sedalia; two brothers, George of Bremerton, WA and Dale of Willis, TX; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
She has lived at Ramsey for over two years where she enjoyed many of the activities-especially Bingo.
