Elizabeth Hicks

Liz, 76, died Saturday, December 6, 2008, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. She was born January 28, 1932 to Homer and Tina Vance in Des Moines, Iowa.
She enjoyed decorating for Halloween, Thanksgiving and especially Christmas. Family was most important to her, and spending time with all of them.
Liz is survived by her husband of 38 years, Bob Hicks, her daughters, Cheryl Lund, Linda Hicks, Cynthia Viera and Lisa Miller, 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, her sister, Bessie Williams and her brother, Rex Vance. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit with family from 5 – 7 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
Liz will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in loving memory of Liz.
