Service Details
Carrie Thiel, 41, died Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, December 8, 2008 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Carrie was born August 29, 1967 in Des Moines. She was a customer service representative for Eid Construction.
Carrie is survived by her husband, Robert; children, Mark Ruby, Jr., Samantha and Heather Hascall; step-daughter, Abby Thiel; grandchildren, Madison, Montaea and Lorenzo; mother and step-father, Pauline and Randy Snider; father, Tim Bresley; sister, Sherry (Harry) Jeffries; brothers, Wesley Blaine and Daniel Davis, Jr. and Justin Keith; niece, Jennifer Weaver and nephews, Jeremy and Jesse Jeffries and a host of extended relatives and friends.

I FEEL UPSET AND DONT KNOW WHAT TO REALLY SAY EXCEPT FOR COOKIE WAS THE BEST SISTER EVER EVEN BEIN RIPED FROM HER AT A YOUNG AGE I ALWAYS REMEBERED HER I MISS HER SO MUCH AND I PRAY FOR MY NEICES TO BE STRONG THREW THIS AND ALSO MOMA PAULA!!!! SHE SURE KNEW HOW TO PUT A SMILE ON MY FACE AFTER FIGHTIN WITH MY MOM I KNEW I HAD HER IN MY CORNER BEIN WRONGE OR EVEN RIGHT AND STILL SHE WOULD GET IN MY BEHIND IF I WAS IN THE WRONGE YET SHE WOULD NEVER TURN HER BACK I GONNA MISS HER SO MUCH!!!!!! (SPECAIL WORD TO COOK) SISTER I LOVE U AND I WANT TO THANK U FOR ALL U HAVE DONE FOR ME I WOULD NEVER FORGET THE FUN TIME WITH U INCLUDIN WHEN U WAS A LITTLE CRAZY I LOVE U AND IM GONNA MISS U!!!!!!

I am so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to all of you. We have had three deaths in the family this year alone and to hear about this. I loved cookie like an aunt, and I felt guilty and very ashamed of myself, after hearing of the personal demons that she defeated. I have been fighting the same battle, I feel like if I were to come to show my respects, it would have all been about how everyone may look down on me for having the nerve to show up in the shape I was in. I feel like by Cookie going to heaven, she can now look over me and help me find the strength to win. She is an inspiration, and a ray of hope, by doing something so painful, brave, and selfless like she did. I remember when I was 14 yrs old, and her and my mom took me to Waterworks Park to teach me how to drive a stick shift. I also remember that she was the only one that I had enough respect for to come home to mom, after I ranaway. I have many more fond memories of her and just thinking of how she talked to me about how I was such a beutiful and good girl, and would give me words of encouragement and advice. I believe that she was an old soul, also a good person with a tough exterior, and a good heart. She is in good hands, and I pray you all know he has his hands on you as well. Love You all,

dear tim, and family'
we are so sorry , and we are prayng and thinking of you. losing a loved one is hard enough, but thru the holidays even worse. enless you think and know with all your heart that God does everything for a reason and all things for good for HIS glory and honor. so that makes me believe that JESUS loved cookie so very much that HE called her home for a wonderful celebraton !
we have hope and a promise with JESUS, that if we believe in him we will be reunited with our loved ones again. so even in our greif we still can stand strong and firm because of the promise of heaven!
