Walter Wadle

Walter Wadle, 90, died Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at Trinity Center at Luther Park. The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, December 5, 2008 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Cremation will follow the service and burial will take place at a later date.
Walter was born November 3, 1918 in Milo, Iowa to John and Elizabeth Wadle. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Walter retired from the U.S. Post Office as a mail handler. He was a member of the Highland Park American Legion Post 374 and St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. He enjoyed gardening and playing BINGO.
Walter is survived by his daughters, Margaret (George) Rowe, Shirley (Bill) Way, Sue Wadle, Dianna Wadle and Cindy Fluke; grandchildren, Jim (Anna) Rowe, Annette (Dan) Dove, Julie (Chris) Vitek, Bill (Kathy) Way, Lana (Jason) Ballard and Cassie Fluke; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Leona.
