Service Details
Trudy Peel – Brown 39, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 30, 2008 at her home in Norwalk. Funeral services will be 10 AM Friday, December 5th at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home with visitation from 6-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home. A procession to Lincoln Cemetery in Granger will leave Friday at 1 pm from St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Norwalk.
Trudy was born January 9, 1969 in Des Moines to Linda and Rod Peel. She grew up with her parents and sister, Amy; graduating from Carlisle High School in 1987. Her greatest joy of her life was her 3 children Taylor, Tanner and Brayden.
She is survived by her children and parents; sister, Amy (Ted) Peel –Wood; nephews, Tiegen and Treyor Wood; niece, Teddi Wood; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and her many friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to her children in care of Rod Peel.

Dear Debbie,Larry,Linda,Rod,Lyle and Marilyn,Amy and Children,
My heartfelt condolences and prayers have been and will remain with you and all the members of Trudy's family. When the natural order of life is turned upside down, we try and figure out how to go on. A parent should never have to bury their child, no matter their age. God, in his infinite wisdom, had special plans for Trudy. Perhaps all she could do here on earth was done and now she is with Millie and her family that went before her preparing a place for us when it is our time.
I am sure she is rejoicing as we are mourning. Trudy is now a perfect soul, no pain, no sorrow, just a perfect soul in the presence of our loving Father.
Hold on to the love that she had for you and you for her. There is no distance in the spirit world. She is as close as a thought and love never dies. So think of her often and she will know as you will know that the love you shared with each other is forever. That will never be taken away. God will give you strength and your friends will give you comfort.

We can not express how well feel and we can only imagine what you all are going through. We will always remember Trudy's smile, little voice, and that great laugh. She will be missed and she has left footprints on our hearts.

Rod, Linda, Amy and family:
I was so shocked and saddened today when I read the newspaper to hear of Trudy's passing. I just wanted to express my deepest sympathy to all of you during this very difficult time. I just remember memories of Trudy growing up with all of you at Airport Baptist. I do occasionly get to see you at dance competitions. I am sorry that I will not be able to attend the visitation or funeral but want you to know that you are in my prayers. My mom and dad (Jim and Pat Dearden) also send their sympathies as well.

Dearest Linda, Rod, Amy and families:
This is one of the hardest condolences I have ever had to write. My thoughts and prayers have been with all of you. This tragedy has come too close to the tragedy we just endured in our lives. Especially to you Linda, my heart aches for my baby girl was given a miracle and we are blessed to have her here with us, but when the possiblity of losing her was handed to me, I have felt NO PAIN LIKE IT!! Linda, turn your pain, suffering, dispair to the good LORD above. And do not hesitate to rely on family and friends to help you! I wish you peace knowing Trudy is at peace now.
Trudy has always been a special part of our family since she was just a baby. From the surgery Aunt Jean sat through with her, also when all of us girls were up in the middle of the night looking for Trudy's pacifier cuz she lost it and she was teething and crying, her sitting in her walker during a tornado in Guthrie when she was visiting and she was just a little angel. She was such a joy in our lives.....she was the baby sister Sherry and I always wanted, but Ted and Norma refused to give us!
I was given so many inspirational messages when Maleah was in the good Lord's hands. But our wish for all of you is that you cherish the good times, the smiles, the joys, the time you did have with her. No one can ever ever take away the memories. Trudy has found a better place, a heavenly homeland. And God has prepared a heavenly city for her. I can see her sitting, hugging, and being held and consoled by Mildred, Jay, and especially Nannie and Grandpa Cecil!! She is in good hands!!
To all of you, this is a little story that I hope helps you through your despair. Maleah told us that after the accident, she was comforted. She said "Mom, angels held my hand!" I asked her, Maleah did they talk to you? She responded with "Yes, they told me, "don't be scared, we will keep you safe!" I have always always believed in angels, and now, I am a firm believer! Your angel is being comforted by those angels. I will end this message with this:

The entire family... I am without words.. Speechless.. Words can not express our sorrow. But I can tell you that you ALL are in our thoughts and prayers. All I can offer is my heart, my shoulders, comfort ears, and myself. And you should always know, wherever you may go, No matter where you are, I will never be far away. All these year knowing each of you, and Trudy, I feel blessed, she was a remarkable spunky person. With that laugh, you can't deny that laugh. Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, May looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow.

Rod, Memaw, Ted & Amy, Taylor, Tanner, Bray Bray, Tiegen, Trey and Teddi:
There aren't any words that will make the pain go away, there is only your wonderful faith in God that will help you through this along with your many friends and loved ones.
We are so sorry for the loss of such a beautiful, spunky and fiesty woman, I will miss her so terribly, but I find comfort that she is in Heaven with my sister being honery together.
Our prayers are with each and everyone of you as you go through this very sad and painful experience. Cherish the memories and laugh about the good times you had, that is what Rue would want, it really will keep you going.
Taylor, Tanner and Bray, I want you to know your mama always loved you and still does and will be watching over you to make sure you are ok. Don't ever let anyone take those memories away from you and cherish each moment you had with her because I know she cherished each and every moment with you.
Amy, you will now more than ever see how incredibly strong you are and I will be praying for you. Keep those babies together and just keep reminding them daily how much their mama loved them, they will need their Aunt Mimi even more now than ever and I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT. I'll be praying for you because it's hard, but you will find a way to get through it.
I am so grateful that I had an opportunity to become friends with Rue and won't ever forget the talks we had, and the craziness we shared during competitions and recital, and the way she could make you laugh!
We will be praying for you and love you all!
