Irene Patterson

Irene Patterson, 90, of Des Moines died on Thursday, January 4, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be at 12 Noon Monday at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home with burial following at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 10-12 Noon on Monday at the funeral home.
Irene was born to George and Mae Vasey on October 5, 1916. Irene loved to put puzzles together. She also loved people and cooking.
She is survived by her brother Lawrence Vasey, her sister Dorothy White, her children Glenda (Bob) Jackson, Gary (Zula) Patterson, Larry (Rhonda) Patterson, Ken (Pat) Patterson, Jerry (Marcie) Patterson, LaVern (Shirley) Smith and Janet Wadle, her very special friend Marvin Seals as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald “Pat” Patterson and her children Merrill Patterson, Evelyn Oxford, Emmett Smith and Donna Vawn. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for future contributions.
