Mary Marsich

Mary Marsich died Monday, December 1, 2008 at Bishop Drumm Care Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, December 5, 2008 at Our Lady of Peace at Bishop Drumm with burial at Glendale Cemetery.
Mary was born June 5, 1917 in Dallas, Iowa to Tony and Milka Mihalovich. She lived in Omaha and Lincoln, NE before moving to Des Moines in 1995. Mary was an entertainer for KFAB Radio Station in Omaha for 46 years where she was a country western singer, known as “Texas Mary”. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and the Rosary Society.
Mary is survived by her sister, Amelia P. “Mal” Mihalovich of Des Moines; niece, Ramona Hessenius of Urbandale; nephew, Dan Mihalovich of Tuscan, AZ; four great nieces; three great-great nephews; and one great-great niece. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Marsich; brother, Tony Mihalovich; and sister, Ann Kauzlarich.
