Judy Joan Montano, 77, was born May 13, 1941 and passed away February 8, 2019.
Judy retired from the State of Iowa in 2010 where she had worked for the Department of Corrections for many years.
Judy is survived by her children, Victoria Maria (Brian) Montano O’Donoghue and Thomas (Cassie Robinson) Montano; grandchildren, Alexia Anna Montano, Samantha O’Donoghue and Brynn Robinson; siblings, Theresa Gawilk and Walter Hammer; and a host of extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Danielle Montano; brother, John Thompson and her husband, William Tucker.
The family will greet friends Thursday, February 14, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 12 p.m. Judy will be laid to rest at the Masonic Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Animal Rescue League in loving memory of Judy.

Maria. You used to babysit for our son Jeff. We lived up the street from your house. So sorry to hear about your mom. I never met her but if she was anything like you...she was a wonderful person. My condolences to you and your entire family. May God bless you.

Judy was a lovely lady. Judy and I became friends when I met her at the Carlisle Wellness Center. She was proud of her children and grandchildren. I enjoyed our visits and will miss her. I am sorry for your loss.
