Lori Ann (Foxhoven) Taylor, 45, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2008 surrounded by family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 4, 2008 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Glendale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Lori was born January 23, 1963 in Spencer, IA to Robert and Emmie Foxhoven. She graduated from North High School and went on to earn her accounting degree from AIB. She was employed at Principal Financial Group. On August 18, 1984, Lori was united in marriage to Rick Taylor. A son Adam was born to this union.
Lori will be remembered for her loving and giving heart. She loved making crafts and giving them to everybody. She enjoyed watching football and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. Lori loved listening to music and singing.
Lori is survived by her husband, Rick; son, Adam (Nicki); parents, Robert and Emmie Foxhoven; sister, Julie (Brian) Kent; brothers Daryle, Dennis, David, Bruce, Robert and Brad (Colleen); mother-in-law, Mary Thompson; sister-in-law, Eunice Floyd; brother-in-law, Jim (Pam) Taylor; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; sister, Diana; and her nephew, Joshua.

I worked with Lori in the Cedar Falls satellite office. She was always so kind and willing to help with any situation I had. She is going to be missed by all. God bless you all at this time of sorrow.

I found Lori to be of a kind and gentle spirit. She loved her family very much, and spoke of them often. Lori was a joy to be around and she will be greatly missed. Prayers to her loving family.

Even though I haven't seen Lori for over 25 years she will always be special to myself and my sister Paula. Lori will be so greatly missed. Along with Julie, they both made our high school years the absolute best! To this day, we still talk about the Sundays we spent at the park. Julie, I wish I could be there for you and your family. Just know that I'm always thinking of you all. Julie - I wasn't able to find you but if you would like to get in touch - I live in Milwaukee, WI now (in the book). All my thoughts and best to the entire family.

I wanted to express my deepest sympathy for your loss. I am a co-worker of Lori's, and although I didn't know her personally, her work ethic said so much about the kind of person she was. She was kind and giving, always lending a hand where needed. She also volunteered for many charity fundraising activities, and had a big heart. She will be very missed at Principal.

I remember how tiny and precious Lori was when her mother brought her home and how I loved to make clothes for her. She was truly a blessing to her parents and left them too soon. I know she has gone to a better place. God bless you Lori and Rick.
