Margaret VanDePol

Margaret A. VanDePol, 93, died Saturday, November 29, 2008 at Taylor House Hospice. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, December 5, 2008 at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Mitchellville with burial at Mitchellville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Hamilton’s Mitchellville Funeral Home.
Margaret was born February 27, 1915 in Panora, Iowa to Thomas and Margaret Milbourn. She worked at the Mitchellville Farmers Savings Bank for several years before moving to Des Moines in 1951. She then worked for Central National Bank in the Investment Department for over 18 years before her retirement in 1976. Margaret was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Mitchellville.
Margaret is survived by her sons, Frank (Betty) White of Canon City, CO and Larry (Twila) White of Fergus Falls, MN; sister, Mabel Graven of San Diego, CA; 15 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph VanDePol; sons, Merle and Lyle White; step-daughter, Barbara Brown; grandson, Charles White; and infant granddaughter, Jessie Ramberg.
