Mary C. Burkmire passed away on November 29, 2008 at home. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. Her wishes were to be cremated.
Mary was born on November 24, 1946 in Huntington, Indiana. She is survived by her husband, Bill Burkmire, Sr.; two sons, Bill Burkmire, Jr. and Randy Burkmire; two daughters, Sandy Richards and her husband, Rod Richards and Pam Scarlett and her husband James Scarlett; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mary loved to collect dolls, lighthouses, hummingbirds and dolphins. She and her husband loved to sit on the porch and watch hummingbirds feed. Mary also loved to go to Red Rock and watch the bald eagles.
She will be missed and loved by all that has known her.

Dear Sandy,
Sorry I wasn't able to make it to your moms visitation Tuesday evening. My job puts me over in Illinois every Tuesday night. My thoughts and prayers are with you and Rod as you say goodbye mom. I'm sure you have memories to cherish and remember you can always hold her in your heart!
