Buddy Allen McDowell

Buddy McDowell, 68, died at his home on Wednesday, November 26, 2008. A graveside service will be at 1:00pmon Saturday, December 6, 2008 at McDivitt Grove Cemetery in Urbandale, Iowa.
Buddy was born September 3, 1940 in Des Moines. He lived most of his life in Springfield, Missouri, before moving back to Des Moines to be closer to his daughter. He worked as a technician for such companies as GE and Rockwell. Even on his own time, he enjoyed tinkering with motors, or anything that anyone brought to him to be fixed. He was a very spiritual man who enjoyed spending time with his family; especially his grandchildren and great granddaughter. He had many close friends he also enjoyed spending time with, and he loved cats.
Buddy is survived by: his daughter, Marcia (Donald)Bragg; his two grandchildren; one great grandchild, with another one on the way; his mother, June Michael; his sister Jackie (Cloise) Woods; and his brother, Donald (Nancy) McDowell. He was preceded in death by his adoptive parents: Goldie and Theodore McDowell; his grandparents, Ellice and Raymond Michael, and Rosalie and Ernest Putnam; and his brother, John Michael Howe.
