Barbara Cogley

Barbara Anne Prall Cogley, 77 of Des Moines, IA died Sunday, November 23, 2008 at Methodist Hospital.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at First Church of the Open Bible in Des Moines with burial following at Chapel Hill Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 25 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway, West Des Moines, IA.
Barb was born on December 11, 1930 to Thomas Leroy and Iona (Gildow) Prall in Warren County. She lived most of her life in Des Moines, IA and was employed by Johnston School District. She also worked with the Polk County Election Board.
Barb was an active member of First Church of the Open Bible and also attended Bethany Open Bible in earlier years. She was a member of Tuesday Tillies and active in her church small groups and family circle. Barb was known for her gift of hospitality.
Survivors include her daughter, Gwen (Robert) Weikert of Iowa Falls; grandson, Bret Robert Weikert of Council Bluffs; granddaughter, Bethany Ann Weikert of Iowa Falls; great-grandchildren, William Jacob and Hailey Anne of Iowa Falls; sisters-in-law, Pauline Prall and Helen Prall; brother-in-law, Leo Junior Brennan, and many nieces and nephews. Barb was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest of 45 years; her mother and father; siblings, Charles Willard Prall, James Leroy Prall, Phyllis Irene Prall Brennan; two nieces, Elizabeth Ann Prall and Kristine Brennan Johnson.
