Eugene Beckman

Eugene Beckman, 86, died Saturday, November 22, 2008 at Valley View Village in Des Moines. Funeral services will be 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. Burial will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Eugene was born May 21, 1922 to Grace and Harry Beckman. He was a graduate of East High School, and a United States Navy Veteran of World War II. He was a member of Capital Hill Lutheran Church.
Eugene is survived by his wife of 65 years, Betty; his children: Sharon, Tom (Kathy), and Dennis (Denise) Beckman; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and his sisters, Bernice and Dorothy. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Willard.
Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Capital Hill Lutheran Church in loving memory of Eugene.
