Doris Iowa Maggard

Doris Iowa Maggard, 94, died Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at Community Care Center in Stuart.
Doris was born February 6, 1914 in Beaconsfield, Iowa to Vincen and Amanda McConnell. She and her husband farmed most of her life in Ringgold County before moving to Des Moines. Doris lived in Altoona from 1965 to 2002 when she moved to Earlham.
Doris is survived by her daughter, Dee Hammond; son, Conrad Maggard; sister, Maxine Wion; niece, Lynne Waldron; three grandchildren, Sherri Eastridge, Lance Maggard and Shaney Jacobson; three great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Loren Maggard, and grandson Michael Hammond.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Community Care Center in Stuart, and Iowa Hospice.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 PM Friday, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St.
