Pat Reeves

Patti Ann Reeves, 83, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2019. She was born October 12, 1935 in Des Moines, the daughter of Floyd and Theora Saffell. Pat graduated from Lincoln High School in January of 1954. She married James Reeves in June of 1956 and remained married to him until 1986. They had two daughters, Jill and Susan. Pat was a dental assistant at the VA Hospital until the fall of 1963 when she became a stay-at-home mom. She was very involved in all activities for her daughters and grandsons. Pat enjoyed spending her summers in northern Minnesota. You could find her rock hunting, fishing, metal detecting, maintaining the cabins, and going on adventures with her friend, Chris. She was the do-it-yourself fix-it lady. She loved taking her grandsons on outdoor adventures and tinkering with miscellaneous projects. Pat loved her little dog, Mollie and previous dogs, Buster and Bufi.
Those left to cherish her memory and carry on her hobbies include daughters, Jill and Susan and grandsons, Kurtis, Chad, Alex and Kael. Pat was preceded in death by her parents.
There will be a graveside service at Glendale Cemetery on University Avenue in Des Moines on Monday, February 4, 2019 at 11:00 a.m.
In remembrance of Pat, memorials may be directed to the family for a future designation.

What a beautiful memorial for a beautiful woman!! She never failed to stop and talk with us whenever we saw her. She was always so kind and sincere... I will miss seeing her in Hill City.
