The couple moved to Waimea Canyon on Kauai, Hawaii where Fuzz worked as a barber and their son, Anthony was born. Sue was a trooper during this adventure, but after a little more than a year, she and the family moved back to Des Moines.

Sue worked the majority of her career at the Polk County Treasurer’s office under Fred Horner and later Mary Maloney. She retired as a Second Deputy after a 30-plus year career.

In her free time, Sue enjoyed spending time at the Lineville house, time with her granddaughter, shopping, working in the garden, dancing with Fuzz, traveling to Italy, and attending concerts. She was also the classic “Italian” cook and was known for her wonderful pasta. Sue was a warm and kind person with a welcoming spirit.

She is survived by her husband, Fuzz Harding; son, Tony Harding; granddaughter, Kendra Harding and her husband, Ted Bender.
