Thinnakone "Tin" Luangaphayvong

Thinnakone “Tin” Olay Luangaphayvong, 37, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019.

Tin was born November 30, 1981 in Vientiane, Laos, the son of Sisamay and Vorivone Luangaphayvong. He graduated from North High School in Des Moines, Iowa. He worked as a supervisor for Kemin Industry for 14 years. If you could sum up Tin with one word, it would be “Amazing!” He was fun loving, energetic, caring and nurturing. Tin had a kind soul. Everyone who came into his life he loved and treated like family. Tin loved life! He was a kid at heart and liked watching cartoons and playing Final Fantasy. He enjoyed bowling, listening to music, and hanging out with his friends. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Tin is survived by his parents, Sisamay and Vorivone Luangaphayvong; brother, Soulinthone O’Lieng Luangaphayvong; his soulmate, Jessica Briggs; and his huge extended family both here and overseas.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2019, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral services will begin at 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 1, 2019, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines, and will be followed by cremation.
