Sherrel Bain

Sherrel Lea Bain, 85, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines.

Sherrel was born October 26, 1933 in Colfax, Iowa to Kenneth and Ruth Randolph. She was a faithful employee of Latin King for over 30 years where she was lovingly known as “Grandma”. She was a member of Galilee Baptist Church. Sherrel enjoyed shopping, watching football, and spending time with her friends. Sherrel loved her family and her grandchildren were her pride and joy.

She is survived by her daughter, Kim (Chuck) Hodge; siblings, Dorothy Voyace, Linda (Wendel) Duncan, Jeri Green, Gene Randolph, Kenneth Randolph, Larry Palmer; grandchildren, Tiffany (Lance) Larsen, T.J. (Dana) Hodge; great-grandchildren, Sienna and Presley Larsen, Tanner and Taylor Hodge; and many extended family and friends.

Sherrel was preceded in death by her husband, Billie; son, Roy Keller; parents, Kenneth and Ruth Palmer-Randolph; and sister, Mary Ann Smith.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Galilee Baptist Church, 2208 Des Moines Street, Des Moines, with visitation one hour prior.
