So very sorry to hear of Shelly's passing. We were neighbors for many years and became fast friends. She looked out for us and we looked out for her. Whether she would call to tell me the dog was out or my door was left open, etc. She always had a smile and never anything bad to say, no matter what. She always looked forward, never back. RIP Shelly, you will be greatly missed.

Shelly was my neighbor across the street. I'll miss seeing her out and about and sitting on the porch. I'll miss our friendly hellos and conversation in passing. She always had a quick smile and was very friendly. So sorry for your lost.

I first met Shelly at PFG, where she was a superstar on-line analyst! I remember how smart she was! Many years later, our paths crossed again when she came to work at CoreSource. She was sweet and kind always. I am so sorry for your loss! Rest In Peace dear Shelly!

I met Shelly back in the late 80's when we both worked at Sernett's, located in Park Fair Mall.
Shelly had such an infectious smile, laugh, and a huge loving and caring heart. We lost touch over the years, but had since reconnected through Saydel gatherings, as well as through Facebook.
It's sad to learn of Shelly's passing, but her spirit will live on in our memories.
Fly high, Shelly.

Shelly and I grew up together. She once told me she always remembered coming over to my house and my mom having after school snacks for us. I have so many memories of Shelly. When she lived in Kansas City I would drive down to see her for the weekend. Listening to 4 Non Blondes as loud as our car stereos would go and singing along and laughing. She was there to wish me luck when I moved to Colorado 20 years ago. We would keep in touch by phone calls and emails but our lives continued and we lost connection, like many friends do. Then came Facebook. We reconnected and caught up with each others lives. We always had plans to meet up whenever I traveled back to Des Moines. We then would spend hours laughing together. When we spoke on the phone it was always at least 2 to 3 hours. We would laugh, cry over lifes struggles and then would always end up laughing again by the end of our calls. She was a big support for me when I lost my mom 6 years ago and then again when I lost my dad 3 years ago. I will forever miss my friend of almost 50 years. Love you, Shelly. Rest in peace and I will see you again at some point my friend. Hugs and love to her parents, her sister, Sheri, and to the rest of her family and friends.
