Chuck Williams, 80, passed away January 17, 2019. He was born in Oralabor, Iowa, on May 6, 1938, the son of Donald and Josephine Williams.
Chuck was a member of Ankeny Church of the Brethren where he served as head usher. His favorite pastimes were traveling and socializing face-to-face, allocating 30% of his time at Panera, 30% at McDonald’s, and an additional 30% at Burger King. Chuck truly knew no stranger! He was an avid fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes and Dallas Cowboys.
Chuck’s family will miss him dearly, especially his Sunday afternoon phone calls.
Chuck is survived by his daughters, Kris and Kathi; brothers, Verle (Sharon) and Allen (Rocio); as well as other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Jean; his parents, Donald and Josephine; brother, Gene; sister, Elaine; two brothers in infancy and his sister-in-law, Mary Sue.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 21, 2019, at Ankeny Church of the Brethren, 417 SE Grant Street in Ankeny, with burial to follow at Brethren Cemetery in Elkhart, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial contributions be made to Ankeny Church of the Brethren in loving memory of Chuck.

Kris and Kathi, your Dad passed away the day we left for 5 weeks down South. Just learned of your (and our) loss today and want you to know how very sorry we were to hear. Such a pleasant man to visit with at Panera. Hope to see you girls there in memory of Chuck.

I too knew Chuck from Broadlawns and always felt he was a very nice person. We often talked Hawkeyes and about his Ford F-150. RIP Chuck

So very sad to see that Chuck has passed. It was a pleasure working with Chuck at Broadlawns Medical Center. He will be sorely missed by all.

Ive only seen Chuck a few times, he seemed like a very good man.
