Service Details
Grace A. Maxon, 64, died Thursday, November 13, 2008 at Southview Manor. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, November 17, 2008 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Grace was born June 26, 1944 in Chicago, IL to Irving and Adeline Rogoff. She graduated from Roosevelt High School and retired from CDS after 27 years of service.
Grace is survived by her daughters, Elly Mae Maxon, Kathryn Maxon and Grace D. Maxon; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; brothers, Allen (Ruth) Rogoff and Jack (Vi) Rogoff; and her sisters, Pat (James) Nelson and Carol (Bill) Kurtz. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Irving and Fred Rogoff.

I love you grandma. I miss you everyday and losing you is and always will be the worst thing that happened to me. You were always there. Someone i could always count on. I feel like i have nobody to talk to. nobody that listens to me.. You always listened to me ... I LOVE YOU MEME! Im sure your in a better place now and happier than ever! Ill never move on. Ill never be able to hold back the tears. Thank you for being the BEST grandma ever and for being there when i needed you. I love you grandma!!!!!!!

dear mother
as i try to move on without you each day gets harder and harder
I love you so much mom. i know your at a better place and we will meet again untill then i must find a way to go on. Mom you will always be in my heart you always have been. You've always been here for me mom your the only person i've had and now i dont have you. you are my angel now mom please watch over me. Untill we meet mom I LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU .

I was so sorry to hear of Grace's passing. I will never dorget the years we
spent working together at CDS and the way she had of making people smile and her jolly way of spreading cheer.
My prayers and thoughts are with you all at this time.

Sister's
Grace
How lucky could I get, I must have been the luckiest person in the world
I somehow was chosen to be YOUR sister. You were always there for me when
I needed you, and were always there when I just needed to be with you.
We had such good times, and some not so good, but you were always with me, and I never felt that I was alone.
Now I have to go on without you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know we all have a set time that we must go home, and for those of us that
are left waiting for our call it just seems that we never had enough time.
With great releif I know those that have gone before you now once again have you in their embrace. It is once again their responsibility to watch over
you and guide you.
Please know that I love you more than I know how to express, and that this
terrible emptyness and sense of loss I feel is now a part of me, and will be with me until we are once again together.
So it is with a very heavy but empty heart that I let you go, but know some
day we will once again be able to hold each other.

I love you always sis....all I have ever learned in my life that had any importance, I learned from my sisters. You taught me to play in the sand at old park; how to trick or treat and get the real goodies; how to laugh as only sisters can. You taught me to cook and clean, you taught me kindness and compassion. I learned how to appreciate how wonderful Elvis was, and never completely trust a squirrel. I learned to be afraid of thunderstorms. I learned cookies were made for dunking and rock and roll will live forever. I learned to be a woman. I learned sis...now I have to learn to live without you...sleep well my darling sister. Watch over all of us. You are another one of our Angels now.
